"The Power of Love" (2019) was an album written in a public space, on a laptop at the cashier's desk of a dining hall. Expanding on the sounds realized by the Omni records that came briefly prior, this record put an emphasis on grand piano as the driving force of these compositions, and didn't forget to experiment with other sounds like mellotron and heavy, groovy guitars.
Undoubtedly one of the most loud and chaotic records in the genre, it pays its homage to progressive rock and metal from the scene today, while remaining very unique and fresh, and incorporating smart interludes as well. The energy is undeniable and insistent, which makes this a valuable chapter in Protheroe's musical saga.
